Best Vitamin D3 + K2 Supplements UK 2026: Eight Products Scored on the Evidence

Eight vitamin D3 and K2 supplements sold in the UK, scored mainly on ingredient quality: vitamin forms, fillers and additives, carrier oil, dose, testing and label safety, with price as a minor factor.

Written by The Longevity Shop Editorial TeamUpdated 1 November 2026

Vitamin D3 and K2 products look alike on the shelf, but their labels are not.

Doses range from 1,000 IU to 4,000 IU of vitamin D3 and from 45 to 100 micrograms of vitamin K2. Some brands say where their D3 comes from and warn people on blood thinners; others do not. Only three of the eight publish test results that we could read.

This guide explains NHS guidance on vitamin D, the safety points that matter for vitamin K, and what to check on a label. Products are ranked only by the weighted scores in our scoring table, using the method described below.

How the ranking was decided

Scores by criterion

Each product is scored 0 to 10 on every criterion. The weighted total out of 100 sets the ranking. Weights were fixed before scoring and are the same for every product. Most of the weight (90%) is on ingredient quality, dose, testing and labelling; price per daily serving carries 10%. Anything a page does not disclose scores 0 for that item: we never assume an ingredient or a test we cannot see. Each product also shows a relative score (best product in this guide = 100): its weighted total divided by the top product's weighted total, multiplied by 100 (see how relative scores work). Evidence was checked on 1 November 2026. Full method.

Three products publish test results we could read and score 8 of 10 for testing: Together Health (a batch certificate of analysis), Nutrition Geeks (a lab result on its website) and Charava (a Light Labs report). None scores the full 10: Together Health's certificate does not name its laboratory, and the other two give no batch number. The other five score 0. The top two products are 3.8 points apart on the weighted totals.

Vitamins D and K: what is established

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is the form of vitamin D used in all eight products. Vitamin K2 is a group of compounds called menaquinones; all eight products use menaquinone-7 (MK-7). The two vitamins are separate nutrients with separate authorised claims. There is no authorised claim for the combination.

Authorised GB claims for vitamin D

Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function. Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system.

These claims may be used only for food that is at least a source of vitamin D (at least 15% of the NRV per daily serving). Every product here provides at least 500% NRV.

Authorised GB claims for vitamin K

Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting. Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.

These claims may be used only for food that is at least a source of vitamin K (at least 15% of the 75µg NRV, or 11.25µg, per daily serving). Every product here provides at least 60% NRV.

How much vitamin D the NHS recommends

The NHS says children from age 1 and adults need 10 micrograms (400 IU) a day, and that 10 micrograms a day will be enough for most people who take a supplement. From October to early March we do not make enough vitamin D from sunlight.

How much vitamin K the NHS recommends

The NHS says adults need about 1 microgram of vitamin K a day per kilogram of body weight, and that most people get enough from a varied diet. Taking 1mg or less of vitamin K supplements a day is unlikely to cause any harm.

These points describe vitamins D and K generally. They are not claims about any product in this guide.

Safety

Two safety points to check before you buy

4,000 IU is the adult upper limit

The NHS advises adults, including pregnant and breastfeeding women and the elderly, and children aged 11 to 17, not to take more than 100 micrograms (4,000 IU) of vitamin D a day, as it could be harmful. Children aged 1 to 10 should not have more than 50 micrograms (2,000 IU). The NHS says taking too many vitamin D supplements over a long period can cause too much calcium to build up in the body (hypercalcaemia).

Four products here provide 4,000 IU (100 micrograms) per daily serving, which is at that limit. If you choose one, do not take other vitamin D supplements or multivitamins with vitamin D unless a doctor advises it. If your doctor has recommended a different amount, follow their advice.

Vitamin K and warfarin

The NHS advises people taking warfarin not to take vitamin K supplements. It also says foods high in vitamin K, such as green leafy vegetables, can affect how warfarin works, and to talk to your warfarin clinic for advice. If you take warfarin or another anticoagulant, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking any vitamin K2 product.

Four of the eight products carry a specific blood-thinner or anticoagulant warning on the pages we read.

Speak to your GP or pharmacist before taking supplements if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking medication or being treated for a medical condition. Several products here are labelled for adults only or for ages 13 or 14 and over.

Buy with confidence

What to look for in a vitamin D3 + K2 supplement

01. A dose that fits NHS advice

Check micrograms, not just IU (40 IU = 1 microgram). 10 micrograms a day is enough for most people; 100 micrograms (4,000 IU) is the adult maximum.

02. A clear anticoagulant warning

Because the NHS advises people on warfarin not to take vitamin K supplements, a responsible label tells people on blood thinners to speak to their doctor first.

03. The D3 source

Lanolin (from sheep's wool) suits vegetarians; lichen suits vegans. If a "vegan" product does not name its D3 source, ask the brand.

04. The MK-7 form

Look for MK-7 named on the label. A stated isomer ("all-trans") or a named branded ingredient gives you more to check.

05. Testing you can read

"Third-party tested" means little without a certificate of analysis that names the lab, the batch and the measured vitamin content.

06. Few fillers and additives

Check the full ingredient list. Bulking agents (such as microcrystalline cellulose or dicalcium phosphate), anti-caking agents (magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide), sweeteners and preservatives are not harmful at these levels, but each one is something other than the vitamins.

07. A fat-based carrier

Vitamins D and K are fat-soluble. Vitamins D and K are fat-soluble, so some brands use an oil base such as MCT or coconut oil, or tell you to take the product with a meal that contains fat.

08. Price per daily serving

Packs range from 30 to 365 servings here, so compare the cost per day rather than the pack price, and note that doses differ.

Before you buy

Label claims to treat with caution

Heart and artery claims

Statements that K2 keeps calcium out of arteries or supports heart health are not authorised GB health claims.

"Not known to interact"

The NHS advises people taking warfarin not to take vitamin K supplements. Be wary of any product that says it does not interact with medication.

Conflicting numbers

If the dose in an FAQ differs from the nutrition table, or a per-day price does not match the pack price, ask the brand before buying.

Mood and immunity promises

The authorised claim is that vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system. Promises to "boost" immunity or lift mood go beyond it.

Eight vitamin D3 + K2 supplements, in score order

Products appear in order of their weighted score from the scoring table. We read each product page, and any testing documents linked from it, on 1 November 2026. Amazon prices are the listed price on that date. We have not bought or tested these products ourselves.

K2 per capsuleMK-7, 100µg, 133% NRV
D3 sourceLichen (vegan, stated)
Other ingredientsCoconut oil, tapioca extract, plant cellulose; vegetable cellulose capsule

Reasons to choose it

  • The product page links to the latest batch certificate of analysis (batch 57169, produced 21 September 2026): vitamin D3 75µg and vitamin K2 100µg marked "Conforms", and microbiological and heavy-metal tests marked PASS. It states the analysis was by a third-party lab accredited by UKAS, and a batch-number lookup is also offered.
  • States lichen D3, the K2 source (fermented chickpea) and a full ingredient list including the coconut oil carrier.
  • States UK manufacture with BRC certification, vegan, and that it contains chickpea.

Points to consider

  • The certificate does not name the laboratory, so testing scores 8 of 10.
  • The highest cost per daily serving in this comparison.
  • General medication caution, but no specific anticoagulant warning.

Our verdict: Vegan lichen D3 in coconut oil with a disclosed ingredient list and a readable batch certificate of analysis. The most expensive per day, and no specific anticoagulant warning.

Other ingredientsMedium chain triglycerides, vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol), natural orange flavour

Strengths

  • Lanolin D3 and MK-7 in a medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil base, with only vitamin E and a natural orange flavour added.
  • States: "If taking anti-coagulants, consult a medical practitioner before using this product."
  • States lanolin as the D3 source and lists every ingredient.
  • Brand says it contains none of the 14 major allergens; dose can be adjusted drop by drop.

Considerations

  • No certificate of analysis for this product; the brand describes a general quality programme instead.
  • Where this product is made is not stated on the page.
  • The page says vitamin K is "needed for normal cardiovascular function" and directs calcium "away from arteries"; these are not authorised GB claims.
  • At the upper directed dose (6 drops a day) the cost per day doubles to about £0.14.

Our verdict: A short, oil-based formula with some of the most complete safety labelling here. No published testing, and the MK-7 isomer is not stated.

D3 per capsule4,000 IU (100µg, our conversion)
K2 per capsuleMK-7, 100µg
D3 sourceNot stated
Other ingredientsHypromellose capsule; nothing else listed

Strengths

  • The ingredient list shows only vitamin D3, vitamin K2 (MK-7) and a hypromellose capsule, and the brand states "Filler-Free".
  • One capsule a day; the brand states certified vegan, gluten-free and allergen-free.
  • UK seller; all three pack sizes in stock on 1 November 2026. The brand states GMP-certified UK manufacture.
  • The product page shows a Light Labs badge linking to a public report (13 tests, last tested 6 October 2026): vitamin K2 at least 100µg per serving, lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury each below 0.5 micrograms, and seven microbiological tests, all within limits set by Charava.
  • The FAQ warns that vitamin K can interfere with warfarin and other vitamin K antagonist blood thinners, and says the product is for adults only, not for anyone under 18, and not to exceed the recommended daily dose.

Considerations

  • The Light Labs report shows results against limits set by Charava rather than measured amounts, and gives no batch or lot number, so testing scores 8 of 10.
  • The report lists vitamin D3 as "> 100 micrograms", while the label gives 4,000 IU (100µg). It does not say by how much, so check with the brand if this matters to you.
  • The D3 source, MK-7 isomer and any carrier oil are not stated, and the ingredients are given as amounts rather than named ingredients. No %NRV, and D3 is given in IU only.
  • 4,000 IU is the NHS maximum daily amount for adults, and the page does not say so.
  • The page shows "£0.15 per day" for the 60-day pack, which does not match £14.99 for 60 capsules (£0.25 a day); the 120- and 180-day figures (£0.14 and £0.13) are also below the pack prices (£0.24 and £0.22 a day).

Our verdict: Full marks on fillers and additives, a published Light Labs report and a warfarin warning on the page. It loses points for no stated D3 source, MK-7 isomer or carrier oil, ingredients given as amounts without %NRV, a higher cost per day, and test results with no batch number.

Lowest cost per daily serving; lab result published | Relative score 90.4 (best product in this guide = 100) · absolute score 62/100

Nutrition Geeks Vitamin D3 4000iu & K2 MK7 100μg Tablets

Nutrition Geeks Vitamin D3 4000iu & K2 MK7 100μg Tablets
Pack and price365 tablets, £9.99 (Nutrition Geeks website; no 3-pack sold)

K2 per tabletMK-7, 100µg, 133% NRV
D3 sourceNot stated
Other ingredientsMicrocrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate

Strengths

  • Lowest cost per daily serving of the eight products (£9.99 for 365 tablets on the Nutrition Geeks website, which sells no 3-pack; in stock on 1 November 2026).
  • Short ingredient list, with %NRV shown for both vitamins.
  • Listing states vegetarian, allergen-free and made in the UK.
  • The Nutrition Geeks product page shows a third-party lab result from Marfleet Analytical Services, test dated 8 September 2026: vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 both "Meets Label Claim" (100µg each per tablet).
  • The Nutrition Geeks product page says vitamin K2 "can also interact with anticoagulant medications" and that the product is not intended for people under 18.

Considerations

  • The published lab result covers vitamin content only, with no batch number, so testing scores 8 of 10.
  • Two excipients: microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate. No carrier oil, and the directions say to take it with water.
  • The D3 source (lanolin or lichen) and MK-7 isomer are not stated.
  • 4,000 IU is the NHS maximum daily amount for adults, so this leaves no room for vitamin D from other supplements.
  • The listing uses wording beyond the authorised GB claims, for example that K2 ensures calcium goes to the bones "and not the arteries".

Our verdict: Excellent value, a published lab result for vitamin content and full marks for label and safety information. Two excipients, no carrier oil and no stated D3 source hold it back.

Strengths

Considerations

  • No certificate of analysis published.
  • No specific anticoagulant warning on the page.
  • One of the higher costs per daily serving.
  • MK-7 isomer not stated.

Our verdict: Vegan lichen D3 and a short ingredient list on an alfalfa base, but no carrier oil, no published testing and no anticoagulant warning.

Other ingredientsMicrocrystalline cellulose

Strengths

  • The only product here that states its MK-7 is all-trans and names the branded ingredient (K2Vital®).
  • States manufacture in a GMP facility in Europe.
  • Fourth-lowest cost per daily serving of the eight products.

Considerations

  • The nutrition table says 100µg D3 per capsule but the FAQ says 125µg, which would be above the NHS adult maximum of 100µg.
  • A note on the page says some containers are mislabelled as "K3".
  • We found no certificate of analysis for this product on the brand's certificates page.
  • No anticoagulant warning; the page uses unauthorised claims such as "Promotes cardiovascular health".

Our verdict: The best K2 specification here (all-trans, branded K2Vital®), let down by contradictory dose information, one bulking agent and no anticoagulant warning.

  • No %NRV figures on the pages we read.
  • General medication caution only; no specific anticoagulant warning.
  • At 4,000 IU it is at the NHS adult maximum for vitamin D.

Frequently asked questions

Vitamin D3 + K2: your questions answered

Doses, safety and this guide

How much vitamin D do I need?

The NHS says children from the age of 1 and adults need 10 micrograms (400 IU) of vitamin D a day, and that 10 micrograms a day will be enough for most people who choose to take a supplement. Between October and early March we do not make enough vitamin D from sunlight, so the NHS advises everyone to consider a daily vitamin D supplement during autumn and winter.

Is 4,000 IU of vitamin D too much?

The NHS advises adults, including pregnant and breastfeeding women and the elderly, and children aged 11 to 17, not to take more than 100 micrograms (4,000 IU) of vitamin D a day, because it could be harmful. Children aged 1 to 10 should not have more than 50 micrograms (2,000 IU) a day. A 4,000 IU product is at that adult limit, so do not combine it with other supplements that contain vitamin D, such as a multivitamin, unless a doctor advises you to.

Can I take vitamin K2 if I take warfarin?

Speak to your doctor or anticoagulant clinic first. The NHS advises people taking warfarin not to take vitamin K supplements. It also says foods high in vitamin K can affect how warfarin works, and to talk to your warfarin clinic for advice. Four products in this guide carry a specific blood-thinner or anticoagulant warning on the pages we read.

How much vitamin K do I need?

The NHS says adults need about 1 microgram of vitamin K a day for each kilogram of body weight, for example 65 micrograms for someone who weighs 65kg, and that most people can get enough from a varied diet. It adds that taking 1mg (1,000 micrograms) or less of vitamin K supplements a day is unlikely to cause any harm. The products here provide 45 to 100 micrograms a day.

What health claims are authorised for vitamins D and K?

In Great Britain, a food that is at least a source of vitamin D may say, for example, that vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, to the maintenance of normal muscle function and to the normal function of the immune system. A food that is at least a source of vitamin K may say that vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting and to the maintenance of normal bones. No claim is authorised for vitamin K2 moving calcium away from arteries, or for heart health, so treat those statements with caution.

Lanolin or lichen: what is the difference?

Both are sources of vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). Lanolin comes from sheep's wool, so it is suitable for vegetarians but not vegans. Lichen is a plant-based source used in vegan products. Two products here state lanolin, two state lichen and four do not say.

What is MK-7, and does "all-trans" matter?

MK-7 (menaquinone-7) is a form of vitamin K2, and all eight products use it. MK-7 can be described by its isomer form. Only one product here states that its MK-7 is "all-trans" and names the branded ingredient; the others do not say, so we could not compare them on this point.

Do I need vitamin K2 with vitamin D?

Vitamin D and vitamin K are separate nutrients. NHS guidance on vitamin D supplements is about vitamin D alone and does not recommend adding vitamin K. If you choose a combined product, check the vitamin D dose against NHS limits and the warfarin advice above.

Do you earn money from this guide?

We may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. This doesn't affect how we rank products: every product is assessed with the same method. We scored every product with the same fixed criteria and weights, and we show every score.

How were the products chosen and scored?

We chose eight combined vitamin D3 and K2 products on sale to UK buyers on 30 October 2026: five from brand websites, two from the Amazon UK vitamin D best-seller list, and Charava. We re-read each product page and any testing documents linked from it on 1 November 2026, then scored them on eight weighted criteria explained in our method, weighted mainly on ingredient quality. We did not buy or test the products ourselves.

Our recommendation

Check the dose and the warning, then the ingredient list

For most people the NHS says 10 micrograms of vitamin D a day is enough, and 4,000 IU is the adult maximum. If you take warfarin or another anticoagulant, speak to your doctor before taking any vitamin K product.

Together Health Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2 scores highest (68.6/100), with vegan lichen D3 and MK-7 in a coconut oil base, a full ingredient list and a readable batch certificate of analysis linked from its product page. It is also the most expensive per day here and has no specific anticoagulant warning. Metagenics is 3.8 points behind, with a short formula in an MCT oil base and an anticoagulant warning. Three products publish test results we could read, and four carry a specific anticoagulant warning. Price per daily serving counts for 10% of the score, so the cheapest products do not lead.

How we compared

How we score products

We compared eight combined vitamin D3 and K2 supplements on sale to UK buyers, using each product page and any testing documents linked from it, re-read on 1 November 2026. For Nutrition Geeks and EVO Nutrition, which we link to on Amazon UK, we also read the brand's own product page. Each product was scored 0 to 10 on eight criteria, weighted mainly on ingredient quality. The weights and point rules were fixed before scoring and are identical for every product. If a page does not disclose something, that item scores 0: we never assume an ingredient, a source or a test we cannot see. Where a brand states its product contains no fillers and its ingredient list shows none, we take the list as stated.

  • D3 form and source (15%). Cholecalciferol (D3) named (4 points); D3 source stated, such as lanolin or lichen (4); product or D3 stated as vegan (2).
  • K2 form (15%). K2 named as menaquinone-7 (MK-7) (4); MK-7 isomer stated, such as all-trans (3); branded or standardised K2 ingredient named, such as K2VITAL® or MenaQ7® (3).
  • Dose: level and transparency (10%). D3 at or below 100 micrograms (4,000 IU) at the highest directed daily dose, by every figure on the page (3); no conflicting dose figures (2); D3 given in micrograms (1); %NRV given for both vitamins (2); K2 at least 15% of the NRV per serving (2).
  • Fillers, excipients and additives (20%). Starts at 10. We deduct 2 points for each bulking or base agent (such as microcrystalline cellulose, dicalcium phosphate, plant cellulose or alfalfa base), anti-caking or flow agent (magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide), sweetener, preservative or colour; and 1 point for each emulsifier, acidity regulator, flavouring, antioxidant or encapsulating aid. The capsule shell, a carrier oil, water in a liquid and the vitamins themselves are not deducted. Minimum 0.
  • Carrier oil and food guidance (10%). Vitamins D and K are fat-soluble. A fat-based carrier in the formula, such as MCT or coconut oil (8); the page advises taking it with food (2).
  • Testing and certificates (10%). A certificate of analysis for this product published and read by us (6); accredited laboratory named on it (2); batch matched to stock on sale (2). Without a readable certificate, a public batch-report lookup on the product page scores 1. Statements such as "third-party tested" score 0.
  • Label and safety warnings (10%). Complete ingredient list using ingredient names (2, or 1 if partial); additive functions named, or no additives present (1); a specific anticoagulant or blood-thinner warning (3); a general caution for pregnancy, medication or medical conditions (1); an age or do-not-exceed statement (1); allergen information (2). A statement playing down medication interactions loses 2 points.
  • Price per daily serving (10%). 10 × (lowest price per daily serving ÷ this product's price per daily serving). Price is based on each brand's 3-pack price divided by 3 to give a single-pack price, then per daily serving; where no 3-pack is sold we use the single-pack price. We use one-off prices from each brand's own product page, not subscriptions, excluding delivery. One serving is the smallest directed daily amount, so doses differ between products.

Relative scores (best product in this guide = 100). A product's relative score is its weighted total divided by the weighted total of the best product in this guide, multiplied by 100 and rounded to one decimal place. It shows how each product compares with the best one we assessed. It is not a percentage of our criteria met: the best product, Together Health Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2, scored 68.6/100 on our absolute criteria. The same calculation is applied to every product, so it does not change the order. Each product's absolute score out of 100 (its weighted total) is shown next to its relative score and in the scoring table.

We considered other UK brands. We could not find a combined D3 and K2 product from Vitabiotics or Wild Nutrition when we checked, so they are not included. The ranking is an editorial judgement based on those scores. It is not a clinical comparison, an independent certification or a laboratory test, and we did not buy or test any product. Every product is scored the same way. Commission is explained in the note at the top of this page.
